David Hockney and wagashi

A most enjoyable Saturday spent with Suzan and Esme (my homestay). We went to the Royal Academy of Arts to see the David Hockney exhibition. And luckily, Suzan is a part of Friends of the Royal Academy. Otherwise we would have been waiting in the two hour queue.

The Road to York through Sledmere (1997)

A Bigger Grand Canyon (1998)

A brilliant exhibition, concluded in the Friends Room with tea and scones with jam & cream. Where I was promptly told that I hadn't put enough clotted cream on my scone.

Finished the afternoon off with a visit to Minimoto Kitchoan, a Japanese-style confectionary store.
